Simple unit is easy to use

This camera is easy to set up and simple use. No complicated applications to figure out. I have used it for over a week in the rain (protected by trees). It remained dry and the batteries still good. Most of the pictures were very good. There were a few unexplained "white-outs". I positioned it towards a feral cat feeding station to see who was coming to eat. I was able to tell each cat apart at a fifteen foot distance taken in pitch darkness in rainy weather. And it captured quite a few deer photo's. The program to install is very simple. Plug in the USB cord and you have your pictures come up on the computer screen. The internal memory hold 14 pictures or you can use your own picture card. Their customer service was great. I called once from my cell phone out in the middle of the woods and they were more than friendly and helpful with all the questions I posed. No being on hold and very knowledgeable. This is an extremely helpful camera to someone willing to help animals and not just kill them. I've had the camera over a year now and use it on a monthly basis and it's still works perfectly.
Neat Gadget!

I received this item as a thoughtful Christmas gift by a family member who knew of me and my wife leaving food for nighttime critters on our back deck. Often the food would be gone and we'd have no way of knowing who took it. Now, with this camera, we are able to see who comes and goes during the night.

The flash is powerful and at times I have partially or fully covered it with some masking tape in order to supress some light for picture taking inside our small shed.

The image quality is not very good but we're not taking pictures for quality, just to see who is around, and with this camera we can do that.

We've only had it a couple of months so I can't comment on what "Dennis" said in his review other than we've not had any problems with it so far.

We bought a 1GB SD card from Newegg for $6.00 (Patriot brand), it works fine in the camera and provides more space than we'll ever need.
Gets the job done

Perhaps somewhat expected, the motion sensors are triggered at times while nothing is there. Other times, something should trigger the sensors, but images are either not captured or are significantly delayed. The flash malfunctions occasionally (flash went off though manually set not to). The video capability is a nice feature and works well, and images are clear. Satisfied overall with functionality.
The biggest problem I have with this product is I received a 4.0 MegaPixel camera, not 5.0 as advertised. Had I known this, I would have purchased a different brand for the price.
I cannot recommend this camera

Reviewer: Jon,
I purchased this camera a year or so ago and have used it extensively. I was impressed with its small size and straightforward controls. But I was soon disappointed that the pics were far grainier than the 4 megapixel resolution it claims to produce. Also, the center of my pics seem a bit blurry. The delay from the time it is triggered until the pic is actually taken is long enough that animals often have walked past the field of view, yielding only an image of the tail end of the animal or nothing at all. Battery life is fairly good. At first my camera was waterproof, and rains caused no problems. But after about a year, it has begun to leak, and this past week's rain finally caused the camera to not function at all. I also emailed the company about 3 months ago about the low quality pics; they never responded. I cannot recommend buying a Wildview game camera.
DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK

Hi fellow hunters.
I have had this camera for less than 1 year and have nothing but problems with it.
I added a 128mb flash card, it worked for about 90 days, just what the warranty was.
It now needs formatting every time I connect the camera to my PC. Thus with 200 plus pictures on the LCD display just today, I loose everything every time I connect it.
MAJOR CPU problem. Not just the Flash card, this also happens to the internal memory !!!

I contacted Wildview customer service, being an engineer I described the problems to them.
OH I AM SORRY YOU ARE OUTSIDE THE 90 DAY WARRANTY
Now I must THROW IT OUT
What a waste of money. DO NOT BUY ONE. TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, I would even be critical of any product they manufacture

I have four wildview game cameras total. two are 2.0s that are on their 3rd season, one is a 2.0 that is on its second season, and one is a 5.0 that is on its first season. The newer they are the worse they get. I have all hooked up to car batteries, so battery life is not an issue. I leave them out for six months per season without worring about batteries. The biggest problem with all four cameras is that they "freeze". I change memory cards every Sunday, and they are usually froze on monday's date. Then I have to unplug battery and reset time and date, this is annoying enough not to mention all the pictures I miss in the following five or six days. My other problem is with the two newer cameras not taking pictures with deer right in front of it. Deer tracks within ten feet of camera and no pics, even when camera is not "froze".
On a good note the cameras do take nice pictures when they are working properly, and they are eazy to use.
It is exciting to check the cards every week, but disapointing when there are few or even no pictures because camera froze. This is especially true when there is a new rub or scrape right in front of camera.
I am now starting to change out cameras one at a time with a different camera that you can catch on sale for $79.99 and gets a 4 out of 5 star rating. Hope to have better luck with these.
