Found a Trail camera in the woods behind my house i need help…?

Back in early october i ran upon a Moultrie Trail Camera, and it wasnt on and seemed like it was just thrown out there and hasnt been used. I came back today wondering if it was still there and it was. Should i take the trail camera im worried it will be ruined out there, and i kinda want it, it works fine and its seems like its been neglected what to do?
